Comparison to Refuge.io

While browsing about CouchDB and sharding through BigCouch or couchdb-lounge plus spatial indexes like geocouch(-utils), I’ve found another similiar project to remoteStorage, I suppose: http://refuge.io/.

Would it make sense to merge this topic and the Tent.io thread into the DataStore ideas one and rename the whole thing to something like “Comparison of different approaches to remote data storage”?

Not sure about that, but it seems to become clear that we should consider creating a table comparing the various options.

Speaking as an early-adopter and not a developer, that would be super-helpful.

I will say that from an outsider’s perspective, what I like about RemoteStorage is the transparency of the project’s intention and design.

Also, a comparison table would probably help determine what RemoteStorage’s top priorities are in terms of features and implementation and how those priorities might diverge from the other projects.
