Can I use remoteStorage.js with browser extensions?

I remember someone (I believe it was slvrbckt) once having tried to implement a browser extension that connects to a user’s remote storage. I’d like to do the same, so the basic questions are:

  1. Is it possible to use the current remoteStorage.js release from a browser extension?
  2. If yes, then how exactly? Where/how do you set up your account or display the widget?

It’s a very old version of remoteStorage.js, so doesn’t work so nice :slight_smile:

Yeah I was talking about this during last years Unhosted Unconference.

I started a project:

But never got past the initial work. I still think it’d be a great way forward for remoteStorage.
